So it is almost here!! MY FIRST DRESS FITTING!!! I am so excited!  I am going home on Saturday morning with a great friend and bridesmaid, Kate, to see my dress and pray that all goes well!  My mom is coming as well as a couple other bridesmaids!  I will def. keep you posted on how that goes.  I found these wedding shoes that I LOVE!  They were in the new issue of BRIDES magazine last night!  Not sure Dave was too thrilled about the price tag....I am sure I can find them on sale somewhere! Rue La La has sales on Bagley Mishka all the time!  I can't decide if I like Black or White....Big Surprise!

Ok so Easter is Sunday and I am so excited! I LOVE EASTER CANDY!  I know that I don't need it but I sure do love it!  A few of my favorites are:

I really want to make this cake!  My mom made me one when I was little and I just loved it!  I have always wanted to make another one! Maybe a great thing for Sunday Afternoon!!

Got the recipe and diagram from What's 4 Dinner Tonite
Bunny Cake

2 baked 9-inch round white cake layers, cooled

1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

1 pkg. (7 oz.) BAKER’S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut

suggested decorations (licorice, gumdrops, jelly beans)

LEAVE 1 cake whole. Use serrated knife to cut remaining cake into 3 pieces as shown in diagram. (See Tip.) Arrange on large foil-covered board or platter to resemble a bunny’s head and bow tie, using small amount of COOL WHIP to attach pieces to each other.

FROST cake with remaining COOL WHIP.

SPRINKLE with coconut. Decorate with remaining ingredients as shown in photo. Keep refrigerated.

Speaking of Cake, Dave and I really need to decide what we are going to do!  Here are a few cake ideas that I like for the wedding!

I love this but not with the flowers!!

I really just want an all white cake but I had to put this on here because it is so "Sloane"

Almost there!!

Ok that is all for now!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter! Make sure to remember the real meaning of Easter...not just for the Bunny...or the Robin Eggs!

So it is going to be a random post day....really random...I have a lot of things to cover that have nothing to do with one another.

First off my BFF, Kari is coming to town this weekend and I am so excited.  We are going to have lots of wine and girl time. (wow that rhymed)  We are meeting with the florist tomorrow so I have spent the past 3 days researching bridal bouquets and flower arrangements.  I love white flowers and let's face it I'm addicted to Black and White!  Here is what I am thinking!

Another random topic today would be house hunting!  Dave and I really need to buy a house...and I find myself being WAY TO PICKY!  I need to get over the fact that people paint their walls other colors than white or grey.  We went to a house last night that was baby nursery pink EVERYWHERE.  Granted, the house was in tip top shape and very well kept, my eyes could not get past the Easter egg pink!  Thought I would share with you a few of my dream rooms and styles I am loving right now!

I love this but not sure Dave would go for it...maybe if Kouki was over our bed :)

Speaking of Kouki....he is our precious Akita....130 pounds of fur!

I leave you with these AMAZING SHOES!!! OMG!!!!!

Happy weekend!!

So a few things to share with you tonight!  This weekend was a so wonderful filled with friends, a baby shower for Jack, great food and a little kickball.

Bonnie's baby shower for Jack was Saturday!  I was a host but Cassie did such a great job putting it all together!  Really it should have been featured on Hostess with the Mostess (amazing blog if you haven't been there).  Here are a few pictures :)

Baby Jack Auburn Pillow for Baby Jack

War Eagle!

For the Shower I made a healthy version of Spinach and Artichoke Dip!  I have to say it was pretty amazing!

It doesn't look healthy does it ??

I got the recipe from

10-ounce bag fresh spinach

6 ounces (3/4 block) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened

6 ounces (3/4 block) fat-free cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup fat-free sour cream

1 1/2 cups part-skim mozzarella, shredded

1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

3 garlic cloves, crushed (not minced)

6 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese, divided

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Tear spinach into bite-size pieces, removing any thick stems. Rinse in a colander, leaving a little water on the leaves. In a large nonstick skillet or Dutch oven, saute the spinach over medium heat until wilted. Drain in the colander, pushing a little of the extra water out.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheeses with a potato masher. Add sour cream and mash more. Add spinach, mozzarella, artichokes, pepper, garlic, and 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan. Stir everything until thoroughly combined.

Pour mixture into a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of Parmesan on top. Bake 30 minutes, or until Parmesan is melted dip is all bubbly. Remove from oven and give it a minute or two to cool down. Serve with baked tortilla chips to applause.

So Dave and I are in a contest for Best Engagement Photos on
If you would go to her page and vote Dave and Sloane on her wall that would be awesome!!!

HUGE AWESOME NEWS!!! and lots of RANDOM info!

Ok well for me! MY DRESS IS IN!! Hope all this working out has paid off!  Now I can buy SHOES! I am so excited.  I didn't buy my dress in Tennessee so I have to wait a bit before I can try it on again!  Now onto shoes, hair accessories, jewelry, etc!

I so need these! Really bad!

Dave and I are going to look at wedding bands tonight and I cannot wait!  I want one that matches the band on my engagement ring now.  Here is what I like....of course if I had an unlimited budget :)

I was reading a blog yesterday that I LOVE.  It is called A Day In The Life.  She is a wonderful blogger who blogs about weddings, DIY home projects and great dishes.  One day this week she blogged about the Rules and Etiquette of weddings.  It was so interesting to read the things that I don't really think about but are so true!  Check out her Wedding Wednesday...The Etiquette article here!

I am going to NYC with an artist for just 48 hours the end of May, so today I found this AWESOME hotel in NYC called The Empire.  I just found out from my cool office creative guru, Natalie, that Gossip Girl is filmed here.  Not sure the artist I am taking will care but I sure do!

Off for some fake spray tanning and a glass of white wine!  I am going to a baby shower tomorrow for Baby Jack that will be so cute, stay tuned for pics!

Fun Fun Weekend

I still bleed blue after the one point loss to UCONN on Saturday!  Dave and I went home this weekend to see my family and had such a great time!  We had a UK party at my Dad's with amazing food and lots of yelling at the television.

Unlike, the past couple of years, I was actually at home watching the ACM's instead of in Vegas for work!  I have to say the award show was pretty great last night!  There were some awesome dresses that I would love to add to my wardrobe.

Loved this dress by Jean Fares Couture

Such a pretty color by Randi Rahm and love her hair much better blonde

I have no idea who made this outfit but she looked AMAZING! Must have her legs before I get married!

Here are just a few fun quotes to leave you with on this fabulous rainy, tornadic MONDAY!

Sites I Visit WAY TOO OFTEN!

Yes that would be me and my favorite thing to do! SHOP SHOP SHOP!  With this whole house buying thing it really needs to slow down a bit I even admit.  I LOVE a Bargain!  Here are a few sites that I visit daily, well besides Facebook and Twitter of course :)

This site offers sales for 2 days from brands like Vera Bradley, Betsy Johnson, Ray Ban, Kensie, Steve Madden, and so many more!!!!  It comes in the cutest packaging as well!

So this is another shopping site that is similar to Rue La La but has quite a bit more stores daily.  They have a Women's, Men's, Home and Travel section.  Also, if you don't get your order on time they will give you a 10.00 credit.  One of my bridesmaids ordered her dress for my wedding on here for 60.00 and it is an awesome dress she can totally wear again!

I love this website!  It is the cream of the crop of wedding blogs.  It has so many ideas and inspirations for planning your dream wedding

This blog has the greatest recipes and wonderful party ideas! Check it out!

In my next life I am going to be a party planner.  I love throwing wedding showers and baby showers.  The baby shower I threw earlier this year had a lot of the ideas come from this blog!

GO BIG BLUE! Make sure to watch the WILDCATS Saturday in the NCAA FINAL FOUR!
